What is XAT?
The full form of XAT is Xavier Aptitude Test. National-level management entrance examination carried out by XLRI(Xavier School of Management), Jamshedpur for enrollment to management programs at XLRI and 148 other involved XAT institutes throughout the nation. For over 60 years, XLRI has been conducting admission tests in India to pick the most appropriate applicants for management education. Every year roughly 90,000 candidates appear for the XAT exam. XAT exam date?
XAT 2022 – Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur will conduct XAT exam in the first week of January 2022 in an online mode for admission to MBA/ PGDM programmes. The application form of XAT 2022 will be released in the second week of September 2021 in an online mode. Eligible candidates will be able to fill XAT application form till the last week of December 2021. The admit card of XAT will be released in the third week of December 2021 in an online mode. Eligibility Criteria for XAT Examination
XAT is an MBA or PGDM admission test in XLRI and other top MBA colleges, including IMT Ghaziabad, SPJIMR Mumbai, TAPMI Manipal, XIMB Bhubaneswar, and 150 other top Indian MBA colleges.
XAT Examination pattern
The XAT exam has four parts which include multiple-choice questions and the duration of examination is 180 minutes.
There is no time limit for each section, but access to the on-screen calculator will not be granted to the applicants.
Marking method in XAT test
Each question carries one mark. Therefore one score is credited for each correct answer and 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer.
For each question, unattended queries greater than eight will also result in 0.05 scores of negative scoring.

XLRI will release Official XAT Mock Test for XAT 2022 in the 3rd week of December 2021. This official XAT Mock test is the best guide to prepare for the XAT exam. XAT Syllabus
VARC & LR: 1st section
XAT exam 2022 for the Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC) and Logical Reasoning section comprises the following:
Decision Making: 2nd section
Decision Making section in XAT decides the fate of candidates. The XAT syllabus and pattern for Decision Making section consists of short caselets, decision making problems. The questions are mostly in sets.
Quant & DI: 3rd section
Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation section in XAT consists of individual questions from all parts of Quant and Data Interpretation problems followed by questions in sets of 3-4.

XAT Preparation
XAT 2022 Exam date is January 2, 2022. The exam is divided in four sections out of which the score of three major sections on VALR, DM, QADI will be counted for percentile calculation and subsequent shortlisting process by XLRI. Unless you score high in all these three sections, you may not be shortlisted by XLRI for final admission round. IS XAT tougher than CAT?
CAT does not have Decision Making section and GK section but XAT exam has DM and GK as separate sections. Another key difference is the XAT Vs CAT difficulty level. XAT is considered a bit more difficult than CAT exam.

The selection procedure begins only after the announcement of the results and the cutoffs of the respective institutes.
